Secret Passages!

Who knew there where so many secret passages in the world kept from the public?!? I didn’t know there was any… this is amazing! I found out there are many secret passages that aren’t very “secret” anymore but were secret a long time ago!

One secret passage that amazed me was in Germany, built around 70 years ago in the 1960’s in the beginning of World War II. This secret passages purpose was to hold Germany’s treasure during the war so it wouldn’t be damaged, stolen, so on so forth. Later in the war, Germany was bombed and the whole city that the treasure was in was destroyed. The only thing that was untouched, was the treasure in the secret passage! How amazing! While fires blazed for 2 weeks after, there are some treasures that are untouched underground.

Another secret passage the fascinated me was one in Egypt. It was a secret passage that went down secret stairs and when you went down there were hidden statues of golden gods. The first god that was found was the god of the sky that was made of complete gold and found because a brick was moved slightly, so when a guard moved it the statue was found.

Who knew there were so many passages that were secret! There’s probably hundreds more that haven’t been discovered when I didn’t know that there was one! I’m completely astonished at what people could build in secrecy so long ago!
