Death shakes the world all around for a couple of seconds. But in those few seconds sometimes millions die. Why? Scientists would ask. EARTHQUAKES, was the answer. RAWR. Earthquakes are a seismic activity in the Earth that take place when tectonic plates collide or rub against each other.
One of the biggest earthquakes that changed everything we know about earthquakes was the earthquake in San Francisco in 1906. San Francisco was a boomtown and when it was hit by a giant 8.3 magnitued Earthquake, scientists were astonished and directly got to work on earthquake technology. A group of scientists came together a week after the San Fransico earthquake happened, and that was when they discovered that earthquakes happen along fault lines.
Earthquakes are interesting and one day, I want to be the founder of a tool that detects when an earthquake will strike exactly and at what precise time. Then I will be famous for reasons other than being cute!
